FROGGED

I was pretty excited to be casting on a new hat this weekend. Picked a somewhat challenging lace design for it. Proved to be too much to concentrate on with the crazy world I live in...so my hat has been frogged :(

Need to find a new pattern that offers challenge so as not to be boring but also enough simplicity that I can knit without having to think too much...

Decisions

I want to be able to post on this blog on a regular basis....but days are so busy and blogging gets overlooked. So I have made a decision to simplify--both my knitting and my blogging.

LoveKnitted is about giving back...my favorite knitty projects to give others are hats. I love that they can simple or complex; use all different types of yarn; and are "small" enough that I can actually finish them.

So this blog's main theme will be about hats. My modest goal: complete one hat per week for this year....and blog about my progress.

My kick-off project: Moss Landing Hat from the book: Sock Yarn One-Skein Wonders. Will post pictures of the cast on & progress later.

Work In Progress Wednesdays

What a better way to celebrate the debut of my new blog but with a fun meme hosted by Tami's Amis

The thing that has been stuck on my needles for weeks....Piece Out hat. I do not know why I am making so little progress on getting this knit. I keep laying it aside for other projects. I think maybe because I am afraid it will not fit the recipient. I want with the "large" size and think it will turn out too big for their head. I don't want to frog but am having trouble finishing....

Ever get stuck on a project? What do you do to motivate yourself to Just Get It Done??

Blog Launch

I am SO excited to be launching a new blog dedicated to the things I love: knitting and serving others.

The purpose of Love.Knitted will be to blog about my latest knitting projects, exciting yarn finds, life (especially as it relates to knitting).....but most importantly.....to find ways to Yarn It Forward--using my hobby to help others.

My goal is to post regularly (at least 3 times per week) and to blog-hop regularly to the great knitting blogs out there.

Excited for this new journey!
